VP, Sales | Vendor Equipment Finance | Louisville, KY
Altius Search Group is recruiting for a VP of Sales to lead and manage a bank-owned small-ticket leasing team. This individual will drive sales growth, develop strategic vendor relationships, and manage a team to achieve financial targets within the equipment finance industry.
Position Purpose and Objectives:
The VP of Sales will oversee the small-ticket finance division, leading efforts to establish and expand vendor relationships across multiple industries, including medical, transportation, manufacturing, and technology. The role is focused on generating new business, structuring financial solutions, and ensuring the division's overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales professionals and support staff to achieve production goals.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow vendor finance relationships across a national platform.
Establish and nurture direct relationships with vendors and clients to position the company as their preferred financing partner.
Drive new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Oversee credit structuring and underwriting to ensure sound financial decisions that align with company risk standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational efficiencies in processing approvals and funding transactions.
Monitor sales activities, call reports, and key performance metrics to drive results and accountability.
Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to expand market presence.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment finance, vendor leasing, or commercial lending.
Proven ability to build and manage vendor relationships, with expertise in small ticket leasing.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
Deep understanding of equipment financing structures, underwriting, and risk assessment.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with a bank-owned leasing division.
Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to equipment finance.
