Job description
Our client, an iconic luxury hotel in Los Angeles, is looking for a Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing individual transient business, including corporate negotiated accounts, consortia partnerships, travel management companies (TMCs), and luxury/leisure segments. This role focuses on driving revenue, building strategic relationships, and positioning the hotel as a premier choice in the Los Angeles luxury hospitality market.
Job requirements
Revenue Generation
Solicit, negotiate, and secure transient business across corporate, consortia, wholesale, and luxury leisure accounts.
Develop and execute strategies to maximize ADR (Average Daily Rate), occupancy, and overall RevPAR.
Conduct regular account reviews and performance analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate travel managers, agency partners, and luxury travel consortia (e.g., Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble).
Manage annual RFP process for corporate and consortia accounts.
Attend sales calls, client meetings, industry events, and trade shows to represent the hotel brand.
Sales Strategy & Reporting
Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to create and implement annual transient sales strategies and budgets.
Monitor competitive set performance and market trends to adjust strategies proactively.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for leadership review.
Collaboration
Partner with revenue management and reservations teams to optimize rate and inventory strategies.
Work closely with front office and operations teams to ensure guest preferences and VIP needs are communicated and executed seamlessly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in luxury, boutique, or lifestyle hotels, with a focus on transient or corporate accounts.
Established relationships with corporate travel buyers and luxury travel consortia strongly preferred.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in hotel sales systems (Delphi, Opera, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence.
