Altius Search Group is recruiting for a Managing Director of Corporate Banking and Finance for one of our clients in the Banking Industry. This position is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of the Corporate Banking Division, including Corporate Lending and Commercial Finance. The primary goal of this position is to drive long-term profitability by acquiring quality new corporate banking clients, effectively managing existing relationships, and developing innovative products and services while maintaining strong credit quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Chief Lending Officer and senior management to prepare and execute strategic business initiatives while overseeing all facets of the Corporate Banking Division.
- Communicate and implement programs and policies that align with the organization's growth objectives.
- Exercise personal lending authority within established policy limits and approve loan policy exceptions when applicable.
- Lead and manage the Corporate Banking Division, ensuring optimal coordination and evaluation of its operations.
- Drive business development for the Corporate Banking Division through direct involvement in client meetings and prospecting activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, incorporating these into business processes and procedures.
- Promote and model behaviors that align with the company’s values and culture, fostering an atmosphere of trust, accountability, and dedication.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Job requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 15 years of experience identifying and developing new commercial loan opportunities, including but not limited to commercial real estate loans, business lines of credit for working capital, equipment loans, business acquisition loans, construction loans, development loans, letters of credit, and leases.
- A minimum of 10 years of senior-level management experience in bank operations.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, loan structure formulation, and risk assessment for complex companies and lending structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
