Line Cook

Our client, a boutique hotel in Atlanta is looking for a few experienced cooks who are familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. These cooks are responsible for ensuring that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests. The ideal candidates have outstanding time management skills as well as a team-first mindset to effectively assist other kitchen personnel and keep our operation running smoothly and efficiently.

This is a 90-day task force opportunity with potential of converting to a full-time role.

• Consistently providing quality food preparation and service

• Providing speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipment

• Understanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipment

• Flexibility in executing varying events and seasonal menus

• Maintaining Health Department cleanliness and safety standards

• Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served

• Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items

• Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules

• Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift

• Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
